The position of Warehouse Labourer is aimed at completing tasks such as storing, picking and packing materials in a manner that ensures efficiency, safety and customer satisfaction. He/she has to be organized and ensure all tasks and duties listed below are completed in a safe and timely manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
- Report any discrepancies and communicate supervisors and coworkers
- Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment
- Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations
- Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area
- Completes deliveries by driving truck or van to and from vendors
- Maintains truck or van by completing preventive maintenance requirements; arranging for repairs
- Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders and printing requests
- Understanding of warehouse products, locations and loading vehicles
- Ability to stack bags on mini-pallets and skid pallets
- Ability to maintain a neat and order store warehouse space, prep warehouse location for re-supply and front loading dock
- Understanding of warehouse flows such as outgoing trailer/Distribution cycles, bag Production cycles and incoming ingredients/products cyles, and use of the bagging system (tag printer, setup, cleanout/Bin Checks, sample Taking)
- Maintains communication between customer service and warehouse teams
- Other duties may be assigned by Supervisory Staff
Experience and Skills include:
- Minimum High school Diploma and of 1-2 years of work experience in customer service and warehouse capacity
- Familiarity with warehousing practices and methods and inventory software
- Excellent multi tasking, organizational, time management and attention to details skills
- Ability to lift, stack heavy objects up to 40 kg and complete other physical demands of the job
- Current forklift license
- Strong team player with the ability to work under minimal supervision
